Our parent company, ELLWOOD, was founded in 1910 by brothers David A. Evans and Jonathan A. Evans, and is a privately-owned family company with over a century of experience in delivering quality products and exceptional customer service.

ELLWOOD's crankshaft division became an independent business unit in 1992, when all crankshaft machining and finishing operations were moved from the original location in Ellwood City, PA, to form a new company in Hermitage, PA, called ELLWOOD Crankshaft & Machine (ECM). In 2003, ELLWOOD purchased the assets of the former National Forge Company, which became ELLWOOD National Crankshaft (ENC). The company has since grown to become the largest crankshaft manufacturer in the world – ELLWOOD Crankshaft Group!
